Argentina #20 - The Perito Moreno Glacier #2

Here's the second album about the extraordinary Perito Moreno glacier, which is located 80 km from El Calafate. It is an absolutely fascinating spectacle to see this glacier, which continues to advance, at a time when we know that glaciers are increasingly threatened by global warming. We even had the chance to witness the calving phenomenon. I used a Fujichrome Velvia expired film, the colors are just stunning.

It would seem possible, but didn't know Argentina had glaciers.

@neufotomacher All the way south of the Andes, between Chile and Argentina, there are several. The Perito Moreno is the one that can be observed most easily. The largest, Upsala, is difficult to access.
