My first World Pinhole Photography Day, 24 April 2022 I had great plans for my first World Pinhole Camera Photography Day (WPPD); making a pinhole camera from a wine box. Sadly, this wasn't to be, but the project is ongoing and I had a worthy back-up: the Lomography Diana F+. Rather than using ISO 400 film, which is typical for the Diana, I wanted to use something a little slower, to keep the exposures a reasonable length that I could count (in Mississippis). I therefore selected some Lomography Redscale film, and exposed at ISO 200. This gave exposures of roughly 1 second in sunshine or 2—3 seconds in the shade. Gifted a roll of infra red film I went out to Roundhay Park with my pinhole camera and a deep red filter. Got the exposures totally wrong with very thin negatives that I immediately chucked in the bin after developing. Went back to them later to see if I could rescue anything in the scanning stage. Very strange images, but quite interesting results. I won’t be buying any infra red film myself.
My entry to this year's #worldwidepinholephotographyday - a worm's-eye view of gunnera (commonly known as giant rhubarb) in Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh. I used a beautifully-handcrafted wooden pinhole camera made by ONDU. Thinking that I was using Ilford FP4 Plus (a black & white film), I attached a red filter and exposed for around 11 seconds, except that I'd actually loaded Kodak Ektar, which explains the scary AF colours. What a donkey. The last three, of the same sunken ship, the Columba (sunk in 1935), a couple of days later.

These are really small flowers, about inch in diameter - found along the forest path from railroad station to our rural house (dacha). I like "rounded" background here (thanks to lens turned 3 times for close-up after I removed stop), but am slightly unhappy with white petals overlapping with this upper light half of this background. #flowers #forest #35mm #blackandwhite #bokeh #closeup
