The anatomy of a renovation.

We bought an old bungalow from the 1920s and we spent the last 20 years restoring it - hopefully retaining its original character. We recently landscaped the yard (necessitated by the loss of an 80-year old tree to a hurricane) and added a boule court. Right now, the garden does not look like much. I have pictures from the 1930s and will add them when I locate where I put them. This album is dedicated to mafiosa, a wonderful lomographer whose photos I recommend you check out. She posted a recent album of some old houses that were going to be torn down. This is happening a lot in my neighborhood. In my opinion, you cannot beat older construction.
