   This is quite interesting, but I find the shadow areas quite irritating. You could try separating the red channel only and see if it looks better for you. Anyway with this filter only the red-sensitive layer of the film gets really exposed, the rest is just the scanner software bumping up the blue and green channels trying to compensate. If you had requested an optical enlargement of this film onto paper, you would see nothing in the shadows - just plain black.
