At this evening a small part of the abandoned Spreepark in Berlin was opened, cause of an open air Comedy Show. sadly it wasn´t alloud to leave the official path. Rest of the shots are from the field Station Berlin Teufelsberg.

So instead iron wings we set our money and hopes on iron rails to leave Northkorea. We passed almost 20 hours with a little help of high voltage Sochu and with the sight of the friendship bridge between China and the Korean Peninsula, that was never finished. And yeah, I managed to smuggle all my films out of the country, but that is another story...
A few remarkablethings about the joint industrial zone of Kaesong in Northkorea, amidst the Pongmyong and Songak Mountain close to the DMZ. The south and north have a commercial and industrial zone there, were southereners could visit and northerners produce goods for the south. But after an incident, that led to a shooting of a south korean the zone was closed for the south. In the hotel of the zone were mostly chinese businessmen and tourists. And another thing was striking. Fior the first time I saw a mural with the great leaders kim il sung and kim jong il, but in a reverse order. As normally the dad is leading the pack, this time it was the opposite. I wonder, what this could have meant...

It seems that the clock is ticking in the underground of Pyongyang. At least for me, the metro trains come from East berlin, it's most likely, that I went on them in my childhood. It's like traveling into your youth. And when you clib the juche tower time freezes once again...
What I love about analogue photography is, that for almost every weather condition you can come up with creative solutions to make pictures expressive. Sure it takes readjusting and a pile of film. ButI like how dramatic these pictures of the Juche Tower turned out despite the bad conditions....

One of of my absolute favourites is Kim Senior (Kim il Sung) and Kim Junior (Kim Jong Il) riding on horses into heroism, if not mistaken it was at the ministry of education. Holy fairies are also a reoccuring fable. And the nightshots were of course particularly hard, because there is very little at night...
The city structures we saw in Pyongyang are very sophisticated. Northkorea is very proud on their underground system and it's an interesting photographic field to discover. We have been to the monuments of heroes, which centers the mother of Kim Jong Il, who is considered the mother of all Korea. And then there was the Koryo Hotel. My Guide was so sweet and organized myself one of the better rooms with a great view, so I could explore the opposite skyscrapers at various times of the day, which I did plentyful. In between I thought there was a guy watching me from the other side for hours. But that was only a thought...

I was granted a great room at the Koryo Hotel, thanks to my good guide. I had a fantastic view on pyongyang from Above. There you getb a great view on peoples life and the cubicle that form the capital city.

When I knew I will be in Sweden and I have access to a car I was sure bout one destination I wanted to steer to. The Car Cemetery of Båstnäs, close to the Norwegian border in den southwest. A place you can only reach with wheels nd amazingly abandonded. I shot loads of films, so I will explain more about it in the weeks to come. But this is the start of this series...
