The Festival «Island-1991» // Фестиваль «Остров-1991»
The festival "Island-1991" (Sharply in 1991), organized by COLTA.RU the Presidential center B. N. Yeltsin and the portal "Your story" with the support Zimin Foundation, was held for the second time, in the Park of arts "Muzeon" in Moscow on 20 August 2016, the anniversary of the victory over the August putsch.
The festival was a reconstruction of the events of August 1991 from Театра.doc" lecture marathon with the stars of modern Russian culture, screening of a film by Sergei Loznitsa "Event" discussion, a round table about rave culture and the birth of electronic music in Russia, the Moscow performances of the key rock bands of the ' 90s, poetry readings, performances, book collapse, and more.
