Around the end of 2022, I bought a roll of Cinestill REDRUM 120 because I liked the Shining reference. I didn't know anything about redscale films, and it took me a while to figure out what that meant. Redscale is a photographic technique in which film is exposed from the reverse side. This means that the emulsion is exposed through the film's base. As a result, there is a pronounced color shift towards red since the red-sensitive layer of the film is exposed first.
