   I develop at home usually but I fell behind a bit last month so I sent off 6 rolls to Darkroom UK Ltd to catch up. They usually use Kodak Xtol for their B&W although I asked them to push this film so can't guarantee that's what they used. In their words, it produces "fine grain and outstanding tonal graduation as well as being kinder on the environment." Not sure how good this would be for home developing but according to my usual supplier they say it has a good shelf life (six months after mixing when stored in full bottles) and a high resistance to breakdown from oxidation during storage or in replenished processes with less waste too. Excuse the long answer but your question got me thinking :)
