This is the fourth album from my time in Burkina Faso, where I was a sputnik to Vicuna and his brother Gérard. In Nouna we attend quite a few political gatherings. One of them was with the Vice Mayor of the town Pascal Symboro. I was quite intrigued by his bodylanguage and always tried to capture gestics and mimics as we went along. It's quite exciting to see the local way of negotiating, a mix of sober numbers and very emotional relations, plus a stinch of superstition...
