The good thing about getting no sleep aboard a sailing schooner is that I was able to get my normally lazy ass out of bed at sunrise. :D It was so cool seeing this early morning light and being at a vantage point that was not the shoreline. We were anchored overnight in this little cove at Swan's Island...I think it was the second morning. Neat to watch the hard working Lobstermen (and women!) on their way out. Actually, these were the slow pokes because a lot of them start pulling out of the harbor with their low rumbly diesel motors about 4:30 or 5 AM. These shots were all around 6- 6:30AM. The long stockade fence looking thing in one shot is the Lobster Pound, an aquatic corral where they store their catch for a few days until bringing them to market.
