Flowers in the Rain ISO 6 shot with sun above and behind me, shadowed by a structure. Flowers are yellow - not green - with rainwater drops. Shawdowing is surprizingly intense and destroyed the picture. Artistic failure, but informative.

These are shot at IOS 6 with some -1/3 exposure correction. Afternoon sunlight location played a critical roll. Semi Stand developed in filtered rainwater with Rodinal 1+100 for 60 minutes, agitation at 0, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32 minutes. Stopped with <2% acetic acid, fixed with Ilford rapid at 1+4 for 5 minutes. Test strip cleared in under 1 minute. This film emulsion is extremely delicate even though it have a stiff estar base.

I had to re think this. These are yellow flowers not green. Thus film is sensitive to blue light and I wonder if the yellow isn't reflective enough of blue light to offer up much light or contrast in the film.

@charliedontsurf I looked at these flowers again this morning and realized they are yellow. This is blue light sensitive film so it isn't getting much light from the flowers instead the backlit sunlight is silhouetting them. Interesting.

@mike1allison rather pretty though. I still reckon a bit more exposure or longer development would make this film sing.

@charliedontsurf I agree this is interesting film. I was confused because the exposure should be fine in this shot, but then the whole blue light/yellow light thing comes into play. I'll have to find some blue flowers ... there is virtually no light coming to the film so the subject is black. weird and wonderful
