We went to a wedding of friends, Jenny and Marcel, and had a great party! The party took place in a reconstructed barn of an old farm with some authentic 'devices'. I took my Lubitel with me and just shot away as the evening went on.
Dippemess is a tradition which dates back to the 14th century. At that time, the Maamess, as it was then called, was a medieval market for domestic articles. Potters from the Westerwald, Kannebäckerland and Urberach came here to sell their wares, especially their ceramic bowls and pots. These were known in the Frankfurt dialect as 'Dippe' from which the event soon took its name. Over the years, more and more fairground booths and popular attractions joined the market as well.
The Dippemess today is Frankfurt’s largest fair and a lot of fun :)
This was shot with a Soviet cine lens that my grandfather gave me. It's a RO60-1 75mm f2 lens made in 1954 that was adapted to M42 in Kazakhstan during the 1980s. I'm honestly very impressed with it and will probably buy a K-mount or EF-mount body to adapt it to because I've kinda hated working with a Zenit
