I was looking through the viewfinder of my LCA+ to take their portraits when I discovered how beautiful their eyes are. It seemed to be a common physical feature of the Matigsalug to have those prominent, round or almond eyes that effortlessly evoke innocence and youth.
Took these portraits during the 2-day health caravan in Kitaotao that served more than 4,000 indigenous people. Textured my shots with supersamplered images I took while riding the tricycle from our barangay (village) to the crossing in Alabang.
