No. 57 of a hundred village churches to come... The Protestant, listed village church of Bückwitz is a neo-Gothic brick building in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district in northwest Brandenburg. It has a north-south orientation, which is unusual for a church. The tower is located to the south. The first mention of a church in the village dates back to 1540. Before the current building, there were already three churches in Bückwitz, the previous one being destroyed in the Thirty Years' War or in the great fire of the village in 1835.
No. 60 of a hundred village churches to come...The small church village of Grütz an der Havel was first mentioned in 1381 as “Grocz”. The Slavs used to affectionately call this piece of earth “Gruda”, which means something like “floe”. The later name was derived from this. After many disasters, a fire destroyed the entire village, including the school and church, on August 10, 1802. The Grützers built a new church and rebuilt the entire village by 1806.

The Protestant, listed village church of Königsberg is located in Königsberg, a district of the municipality of Heiligengrabe in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district in Brandenburg. The massive, rectangular church tower was added in 1480/82 to the predecessor church, which had been demolished at the beginning of the 16th century.

It is therefore conceivable that a church already existed at that time, although no evidence of it exists in the 21st century. It was built after the destruction of the previous church in the 18th century. After a fire in 1822, it was rebuilt in neoclassical style in 1826.
No. 39 of a hundred village churches to come... The Romanesque church, built of fieldstone, dates back to the 12th century. The nave has a rectangular floor plan. A remarkable mural on the east wall dates back to the Middle Ages. It depicts a saint. Possibly a depiction of the Virgin Mary.
No. 40 of a hundred village churches to come... From 1541 onward, the pastor's meals were distributed among Semlin households in rotation. The Semlin booklet states: "The pastor receives his lunch after the Sunday sermon, but should bring his own drink if possible, or be content with what is offered. He should also be encouraged to return home at the right time and not settle down." The church, built between 1730 and 1732, is an impressive, rectangular hall building with a recessed west tower. In 1893, the church underwent extensive renovations, including the addition of a chancel to the east and the alteration of the windows.
No. 41 of a hundred village churches to come... The listed church was built between 1371 and 1375, as indicated by a two-line inscription carved in Gothic cursive script into the ninth ceiling beam. The predecessor building, erected by monks of Jerichow Monastery between 1150 and 1180, stood on the same site and was destroyed by fire.

No. 44 of a hundred village churches to come... Derben is originally a Wendish settlement. It belonged to the Diocese of Havelberg from 948. At the end of the 14th century, Derben was a parish village with a royal domain. Worth seeing is the town's church, built at the beginning of the 20th century with bricks in the neo-Gothic style and located on Derben Hill.
No. 45 of a hundred village churches to come... The village church of Stresow is a single-nave, Romanesque building made of fieldstone. The four windows on the north side and two on the south side of the chancel have been preserved. A small half-timbered tower stands above the west front. The altarpiece is painted and is believed to date from 1588. The painting depicts the Last Supper with Martin Luther and Philipp Melanchthon.
