The Beach (Preveli, Crete)

Hidden in the southern parts of Rethymno, Crete, is this little natural wonder called Preveli. It is a small stream coming down from the gorge where centuries ago pirates used to rest while raiding the Mediterranean. Palm trees grew from the rocks and seeds of the tropical fruit they ate. Just another reason to like pirates!
