Mamiya NC 1000 Production years: 1977 – early 1980s Lens mount: Mamiya Bayonet Mount (exclusive to the NC series) The Mamiya-Sekor E lenses made specifically for this camera are surprisingly sharp and well-coated — such as the 50mm f/1.4. Shutter speeds: Electronically controlled shutter from 4 seconds to 1/1000 second + Bulb Exposure modes: Through-the-lens (TTL) aperture priority auto-exposure or full manual control Mamiya’s move to compact SLRs: The NC 1000 was introduced at a time when manufacturers like Olympus (with the OM series) and Pentax (with the MX/ME) were changing the market by releasing lighter, smaller SLRs. With the NC series, Mamiya aimed to follow this trend. New mount: Instead of the older M42 screw mount (used on many earlier Mamiya SLRs), Mamiya introduced an entirely new bayonet system for the NC series. This meant that older Mamiya lenses were not directly compatible. Successor: The Mamiya NC 1000s followed in 1978. It was nearly identical but included a manual exposure mode with an LED meter instead of the original needle meter. #Mamiya #MamiyaNC1000 #MamiyaSLR #MamiyaSekor #VintageCamera #35mmFilm #FilmPhotography #ShootFilmStayBroke #AnalogVibes #FilmIsNotDead #ClassicCamera #AperturePriority #TTLmetering #CompactSLR #1970sCamera #SLRphotography #ManualFocus #Filmcamera #AnalogLove #RetroCamera #FilmCommunity #ShootFilm #BuyFilmNotMegapixels #Cameraporn #Cameragear #VintageGlass #ShutterSpeed #OldSchoolPhotography #CameraCollectors #FilmIsAlive #M42toBayonet #LensMount #CameraHistory #FilmShooter #EverydayAnalog #Filmisforever #35mmLove #BackToTheRoots #ShootFilmWorldwide #MamiyaLove #ClassicSLR #FilmRevival #RetroGear #MamiyaVibes #AnalogCameraClub
