Second roll from my 1930s leica iii and elmar 50 f 3.5. No keepers but a satisfying roll for the tones and a successful test of my rangefinder adjustments. The camera although lovely to look at and quite good fun to use is just a not very light tight box but that lens, wow, it has a certain vintage magic to it, not too contrasty , not too sharp, perfect for my nostalgia trips when paired with a classic emulsion like double X. Trying to keep the contrast down I stand developed these in rodinal, might try a pull with xtol next time if the light is good....
In September it was time for Helsinki's (once again) annual camera fair. I skipped the latest digital innovations and dashed straight to the secondhand stalls... A few hours later, I was the proud owner of a nice Helios 44 lens and a gorgeous little Akarette. A day well wasted!

This is a tower, dated roughly 15th century, situated high in the mountains and made for military defense. Now it's ruins, though one can still find some interesting architectural aspects - for example, window openings are made with Byzantine manner, which is not typical for this region.
