別府市内（Beppu City）

In Beppu city which is also called Izumi-shi, many hot springs spring up to the east side of two volcanoes, Tsurumidake (altitude 1,375 m) and Gaya-dake (alias Iwozan, altitude 1,045 m) located about 4 km north of that. In addition, tourist attractions such as tour of Beppu Hell which made the source of natural seasonal springs a tourist attraction are also substantial, and more than 8 million tourists visit each year in Beppu City. Abundant hot spring resources are widely used in various industries ranging from sightseeing and citizen life to old-day production of alum, geothermal power generation, medical care, flower cultivation, fish farming, recently hot spring mud beauty.
