I've been developing colour film, these are from my first two rolls. Olympus pen and i think my nikon em. Scanning with my digital camera and editing in gimp was as i suspected it was going to be a total pain in the ass and nigh on impossible to get good colour balances but i'm quite happy and actually like some of the hues even if they aren't necessarily correct. Some of the more faded ones i just inverted in gimp and corrected in iPhoto the best i could, actually i think those are my favourites lol.!

@captainfantastic two rolls, one ektar, the other lomo 100, not sure which one this was without checking the negatives.

Have you been trying to make your backlight source more cyan to counteract the orange mask? I briefly dabbled in dslr scanning before getting an epson and found that that made a world of difference in getting decent colors

@jbasco I did play around with the white balance in camera a bit which helped. But yes that's a good idea, if I could somehow filter the light coming through the negative..

@charliedontsurf looks like you got it figured out on that other picture, but if you're still looking for options I'd consider something like a sheet of Lee or Rosco gel. I'm looking at an undeveloped piece of fuji ra-4 paper right now and it's about the same color as a steel blue gel
