#Praktica #BCX #Kodak 200 # Isle of Wight, 2020, the 'Year of the mask' did not offer too many travel options without restrictions. But luckily, very often the good things are very close to home, as the Germans would say: 'Das Gute liegt so nah.' This lovely island is only a 10 minutes ride on a Hovercraft from the mainland UK away, or, if you take the car, 40 minutes on an ordinary ship.But this does not mean you arrive in the same world. Many things over there have managed to keep their charme of 'the old world'. I have tried to capture examples by travelling with a Ward& Lock Book, 1948's edition but with photographs in it which were taken approximately 20, 30 or even 40 years before that.
