Aggiornamento del mio progetto a lungo termine, che consiste nel fotografare, ogniqualvolta passo da Piazza Volta (nella mia Como), a qualsiasi ora del giorno e della notte, la vita della piazza, posizionandomi sempre nello stesso posto ed utilizzando obbiettivi di focale normale da 35 a 58mm. Questa serie di foto è un omaggio al film "Smoke" di Wayne Wang in cui un tabaccaio fotografava, tutte le mattine alla stessa ora, la vita all'esterno del suo negozio. - This long term project will be made by a series of photos taken in the same place. Every time I pass in Volta Square in my city Como, I took a photo in b/w with a camera with a normal lens (from 35 to 58mm) I want to collect 100, 1000 or even more photos! This is a tribute to the movie "Smoke" by Wayne Wang.

Visiting the DMZ from the North was exciting and actually more relaxed, then one would assume in the highly militarized zone. I had the most intense chit chat with the soldiers leading us to the 38th parallel north about their lives at the border. We went into the cabin, where the seize fire was signed. This called for panoramic shots. Back in Pyongyang my panoramics became game again in the theatre, where we saw an impressive propaganda musical with songs about the revolution. Panoramic Propaganda.

In occasione del quarantesimo anniversario delle trasmissioni radiofoniche libere a Como c'è stato uno spettacolino teatrale, un miniballetto sul motivetto "Aggiungi un posto a tavola...". Abbastanza deludente, come chiaramente visibile nell'ultima foto... l'allegria non è affatto "raddoppiata", come nella canzonicina, sui volti si vedono segni di ragazzi stanchi del giochino e privi di sorrisi. Mi ricorda la scena finale della serie "The Young Pope"... sorrisi che si sono spenti in un attimo... sorrisi ormai rari in una Italia triste e piena di nevrosi, come evidenziato in un recente articolo del Corriere.
