Rorschach Test - What do you See?

The Klöntalersee, a gem of a lake about 30min drive from my house. Cliffs, woods, complete solitude during winter. The pass road is pretty much closed, I saw one man throughout the whole day. Found this spot with amazing symmetry and decided it's time for a super wide shot. Interesting detail is the small water vortex on bottom left. What is it! Where does the water go? Food for thoughts

@MTSTEVE It's a vortex going into ...somewhere. Very creepy actually, just constantly sucking water in

The vortex is for emptying the lake when the tourists have gone. Same here in Austria ;-)
    Great LF!

@montagu, you're welcome. I love the large format stuff you've been doing. From what little I've read so far, I'd have no patience (at this stage) to shoot large format. I will concede, that this *may* change at a future date.

@LIZKOPPERT It's fun and not as hard as people think... It just needs a bit more commitment before taking a picture than other format is all

@montagu, sounds like I might be wanting lessons from ya. I did get the sense there might be an element of fun with it.

@LIZKOPPERT absolutely, much fun, my favorite activity these days, just hunting for picture opportunities

😃 I bet. I find picture opportunities tend to spring up on me by surprise… hence why I like to have at least one camera on me. Though, there are times (like yesterday, walking home from work), when I could do with TWO...

@marcomaestro I honestly have to say I don't know much about Rorschach at all, haha... What's wrong with the picture? Curious

The Rorschach associated with the art of Psychology? I see the aftermath, and subsequent image capture of Alpian Juras through the filter of time and pressure to our present, and a small vortex caused in your present at camera's capture by a small object ker-plunking the water.

@neufotomacher good one! but that small vortex is not my doing, it's just sucking water down continuously, I still don't know what it is and where the water goes
