    I live in the middle of Graz. I've been to a lot of cities in my 24 years of life: cities like Vienna, Amsterdam, London, Paris, and a lot more. But to me, Graz is the most beautiful of them all. It has the nicest people living there, it's very green. It's just great.

    This small city Kostanjevica is an island, around is river, that why it is called Kostanjevica on Krka (slo. Kostanjevica na Krki). If you start from Ljubljana, you mast go by the highway direction Novo Mesto, Krško - Dolenjska, 1 hour 20min, you can't miss board where to go down for Kostanjevica. It is near Zagreb too, highway from Zagreb - Ljubljana, 2 hours. The train come in Krško, 20min by bus from Kostanjevica.

    I was on the way back from the Balkans, where I just had shot an image-film for a NGO. Our way by car led us through Slovenia, which impressed us very much. Despite it was a state of the Balkan-Region, it very much looked like Switzerland in many ways. This was due to the mountains but also the renovated state of roads and buildings and the obvious economic success of the country. As so they have to deal with the common problem of over-aging.

    Mimara Museum in the centre of Zagreb, is known to the people of Zagreb as one of the biggest museums in the city and as one of the first skating places in Zagreb. It has a huge playground in the back called "srednjač" where you can go running, play football or basketball or just chill.

    The Kunsthaus was built in 2003 when Graz was European Capital of Culture. It was designed by London architects Peter Cook and Colin Fournier and is a very cool futuristic building – in my opinion it looks like a big blue space ship - situated near the river Mur between Südtiroler Platz and Lendkai.

    Castle Riegersburg is situated above the Styrian village Riegersburg on a 482m high volcano rock. You are able to reach it by foot or with an elevator. To walk up means to use the original path leading to the entrance of the imposing castle - it is over 850 years old and was impregnable for hundreds of years.

    After twenty-five years, I revisited this beautiful city. We had a free Saturday, so we decided to have a short trip to Graz. I shot in black and white and interestingly enough, it was raining almost all day, so the weather and the chosen medium kind of fitted with each other.

    The Lurgrotte is Austrian’s largest water flowing cave. It is situated in Styria in a little village named Semriach, 25 km away from Graz. The cave is five km long and you can see lots of drip stones, bizarre sinter formations, enormous rock domes and submontane canyons.

    When you go on a holiday to Styria, a wonderful province of Austria with a breathtaking landscape, you will maybe hear of Gsellmann’s Weltmaschine. Franz Gsellmann who created this strange machine without any practical use was a farmer in Edelsbach near Feldbach in the middle of the Eastern Styrian Vulkanland.

    Kitzeck is the highest vineyard village in Austria and is situated in the southern Styrian Vineland in the Sausal. Since 900 years there is cultivated vine because of the mild climate - even figs grow there! The Kitzecker vine is well known all over the country and even furthermore the boarders of Austria.
