Playa de Las Teresitas, Tenerife

Playa de Las Teresitas- one of the Tenerife island’ most beautiful beaches.

Playa de Las Teresitas is situated 10 km north from the island’s capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It is a man made beach formed with the gentle soft white sand which was brought from Sahara desert. It reminded me paradise looking beach from the Bounty chocolate’s advertising.

Whenever you alone, on romantic or family holiday- this beach is perfect. It is hidden from the winds, there are no strong waves and waters are crystal clear. And as there are mountains and hills all around you can never get bored of sun-bathing as you can do a little bit of hiking or picnicking in between.

There are few low key cozy bars on the beach so you can enjoy cold Martinis and beers while listening to the old local gentlemen engaging in various discussions and singing spontaneously. And, if you are hungry- there few fish eateries where you can have Spanish analogue oh fish and cheeps or fried squid at any time of the day, even during siesta times.
