A serene and calm walk around the Etang de la Gruere in Jura, Switzerland. A beautiful part of Western Switzerland, reminds me of Yellowstone National Park, calm, clean, fresh and overall peaceful.

Shot this while finding some nice vantage points for my sun series. Found myself in a snowy quiet little woods and was presented with this gem of a mountain. Also a good way in testing out the Shanghai GP3 100 film that I still had. Ran out of Ilford Delta so I used this one, very positive results, I like the feel and contrast even tough the negatives can be slightly scratched from the factory

The Klöntalersee, a gem of a lake about 30min drive from my house. Cliffs, woods, complete solitude during winter. The pass road is pretty much closed, I saw one man throughout the whole day. Found this spot with amazing symmetry and decided it's time for a super wide shot. Interesting detail is the small water vortex on bottom left. What is it! Where does the water go? Food for thoughts
I took off the rear element of the 150mm f5.6 effectively turning it into a 450mm f16 soft-focus lens, giving the picture a nice pictorial soft look. Then waited for the fog to creep in so I can hide the shoreline across and create this isolated feel. And two ducks
First time hiking in Switzerland with my new Chamonix large format camera. Several liters of sweat later I ended up with this shot of Säntis, a beautiful mountain an hour from my home.
I shot this while on a commercial shoot in Western Tibet. A brutal and beautiful environment alike, cattle carcasses are a common site. Here, nature provides our daily intake of surreal imagery, displaying its inevitable cycle of life and death.
On a stroll through the Taminaschlucht I found these wonderful rocks, flat and with little texture. I carried a few back home and chiseled them into 4x5 size as good as I could to fit the plate holder. Then coated in liquid emulsion and shot in my Chamonix.
Finally, a triple exposure that came out the way I planned it. Very happy about this one. It is a painting of my late uncle Rene Fendt and the beautiful Duyan overlooking lake Zurich on a calm morning (POTD China September 2nd 2017)
