The Emerald City

They weren't exaggerating when they gave Seattle its nickname, Emerald City. It really is that green up that, owing to the fact that it's always raining. It almost never downpours though, only constant drizzles so you never have to carry an umbrella with you.

I like it up there and not just because of its lushness. There's that easy-going atmosphere that's very grounding and unstressful, and that open friendliness that's so refreshing. No guarded looks, no fake nonchalant attitude; so different from Los Angeles.
